Our client is a food manufacturer of high quality foods for the Australian market. Due to recent growth in the company, they currently have an opportunity for a QA Officer with documentation expereince to join their busy Quality Department in a permanent position on early morning shift.
Reporting to the QA Manager, you will have proven ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced and high pressure environment. Key duties will include:
- Assisting with updating quality documentation for HACCP, GMP and other food safety systems
- Conducting internal audits and preparing for external audits (WQA and BRC)
- Managing the document control system and processing any changes to master file
- Identifying and reporting non-conformances
To be considered, you must have tertiary qualifications in Food Science, strong communication skills and computer literacy. Previous experience in a similiar role with a high-care / high risk food category is required. In addition, you will have excellent attention to detail, be proactive in resolving issues and reporting outcomes to the team, and also have a strong committment to upholding quality.
This position is for an early start of 5am, however some flexibility with working hours may be required on occassion to ensure that changing needs of the business are met.
