The Collaroy Centre is a conference and outdoor education centre catering to a variety of functions and groups from school camps to church retreats, to business training.  Currently, a full-time position exists for a dedicated individual keen to work in the field of sales and group management while enjoying the picturesque view at Collaroy.

In this varied role supporting the Centre Manager, the successful applicant will provide professional, efficient and timely Sales and Marketing support for the effective organisation and bookings of the Centre and associated projects. 

Key accountabilities include:

• Collaborate and drive marketing initiatives to ensure brand recognition.
• Proactively promote The Collaroy Centre to potential clients - both internal and external to The Salvation Army.
• Effectively process all requests, make recommendations and ensure all charges are relevant and accurate.
• Report on progress to Manager both on a regular basis and following meetings and industry events. Ensure a high level of communication both internally within the organisation and externally to clients.
• Responsible for the communication of upcoming groups and events to The Collaroy Centre.

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• An understanding of the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army
• Knowledge of Corporate, Events and Hotel industry bodies
• Prior Experience in sales, marketing and coordination of events and accommodation
• Demonstrate sales and marketing ability and achieving targets
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Good attention to detail and sound time management skills
• Solid level of computer literacy particularly including Microsoft Office
• Team player with energy, flexibility and integrity
