Warakirri Dairies is a significant dairy farm investment managed by Warakirri Asset Management. Established in 2007, and having now consolidated after the acquisition of an impressive portfolio of large scale dairy farms, the ambitious future is to position the business as the leading national player in the dairy farm sector. The business requires a high calibre dairy agribusiness professional to assist the business to sustain and improve the quality of its operations and drive profit enhancement initiatives into the future.

Working with the CEO, the Operations Manager will be primarily responsible for providing operational and commercial support across the farm assets with the objective to improve productivity and profitability. This will include:

• Budgeting, planning and reporting;
• Herd management;
• Feeding plans;
• Operational analysis;
• Benchmarking;
• Procurement and
• Implementing standardised systems and processes across the business.

Identified as having outstanding communication skills and a high level of commercial acumen you will be seeking a broad role focussed on dairy farming and corporate commercial deliverables. Your profile is likely to include technical dairy farming, animal husbandry or agronomy and a breadth of experience in commercially running farm operations. Dairy farming expertise is highly desirable as is knowledge of the Australian agricultural investment environment, large scale agricultural operations and a track record of successfully implementing change.
