An exploration geologist is required that has a real passion for discovery and developing a project. Based either residentially in North Eastern WA or out of the head office in Perth you will be planning and executing drilling programs across the very large Canning Basin tenements. Initial reports and historical data looks very promising but further exploration is required to unlock the true potential with a view to then mining the coal. The company has income through existing royalties from JV's and has a diverse asset portfolio internationally although the bulk is in coal. You will need to have had previously worked with coal and the hunger and drive to be successful to make a name for yourself to be considered for this role. The challenge would suit an ambitious and passionate geologist that has the motivation to drive the project and build a team. The company is soon to acquire funding that will able you to play with $5M P/A as a budget. You will spend your time in the office with campaign style work in the field on no fixed roster. The company is keeping an open mind on the candidates they will look for in terms of level of experience but it is essential you: - Have tertiary qualifications in geology
- Some coal exploration or mining experience
- Real hunger and passion to see a project from exploration to production
- Be eligible to work in Australia
The company will look at paying an attractive salary package depending on your experience and relocation package if required. The more experience you can bring to the team the higher the salary, but this is not an opportunity for someone looking for just a big pay cheque. This is for a real geologist that takes pride in their work and wants to see what they do come to fruition.
