We currently have an opportunity in our National Office for a National OHS Consultant. Our main job in labour hire is to make sure that every workplace where we place our candidates is safe and that our candidates are suitably matched to their positions. The role of the National OHS Consultant is to make sure we do that job well by driving our OHS culture and systems across the business.  
 
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, responsibilities include -: 
 

• Develop strategies and implement changes to our OHS Management system in line with new harmonisation legislation  
  
• Management of our Risk Management process which includes monitoring the frequency and completion of client site inspections and risk assessments by our branches  
  
• Lead and implement AS4801 certification into the business  
  
• Act as a key driver in the management of our consultation processes  
  
• Ensuring our candidate induction practises are in line with best practise  
  
• Managing the incident, reporting and corrective action systems and Safety performance measures and provide specialist advice in managing and mitigating risks  
  
• Design and deliver OHS training and Workshops across our branches  
  
• Management / Advise on Workers Compensation and Return to work matters  
  
• Assists with pre-tender presentations  
  

 
the successful candidate must have -: 
 

• up to five years experience in OHS or similar role  
  
• relevant tertiary OHS qualifications  
  
• Sound knowledge of AS4801  
  
• qualified return to Work Coordinator  
  
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills  
  
• Practical and hands on approach  
  
• Impressive track record that demonstrates personal drive, motivation and common sense  
  
• willing to travel interstate
