The Collaroy Centre is a conference and outdoor education centre catering to a variety of functions and groups from school camps to church retreats, to business training.  Currently, a casual position exists for a dedicated individual keen to join the management team to supervise a team of operations staff during the allocated shift. 

In this varied role supporting the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will provide professional management and oversight of day to day operations of The Collaroy Centre. 

Key accountabilities include:

• Effective and pro-active shift management
• Follow and drive food safety culture including the monitoring of food safety systems, HACCP and OH&S policies
• Ensure staff are working efficiently on shift
• Be the point of contact for guest groups with a positive and customer focussed approach along with a "can do" attitude
• Ensure the safety and security on site whilst on shift
• Manage all aspects of labour control from forecasting, rostering and labour reporting
• Train, mentor and develop staff with a focus to constantly improve service levels

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army
• Prior Experience in operational management within a hotel, catering company or functions centre
• Strong understanding of industrial relations
• Good attention to detail and sound time management skills
• Solid level of computer literacy particularly including Microsoft Office
• Team player with energy, flexibility and integrity
• Flexibility to work shift work including weekends

Previous experience and qualifications in a similar position will be highly regarded.
