Heading to town and landing smack bang on the banks of the Yarra, Melbourne is about to welcome in a gastronomic wonder thats sure to surprise. Weve gathered up two of New Yorks finest and brought them and their East Village vision across the great divide to create a venue the likes of which has not been seen in this city before.

 

A shock to the system for those who think they know all that the Crown complex has to offer and looking like it just stepped out of one of Melbournes more socially set suburbs, this pub come brunch bar will make its cheeky debut in April. Evolving under the culinary direction of two of Americas leading chefs, Grant MacPherson and Sam Sammy D Demarco, this gastronomic delight will be ahead of the curve. Embracing all the worldly and eclectic subtleties currently seeping into Australias fare, this casually cool venue will bring Melbourne pub food up to the modern standard that any trendy dining connoisseur would expect.

 

Crucial to reinforcing the experience promised by this intriguing take on the Hotel of old will be a team of Chefs and Cooks working away under the expert tutelage of Sammy and Grant. Born on the buffalo wings of success creating dishes for household name celebs and infused with New York sensibilities youll be working with a menu that could only have been dreamt up in meat lovers heaven. Back of house you will carry off a casual look whilst deftly preparing high volumes of classic dishes for the modern age. 

 

We are searching for talented and highly skilled Chef de Parties to join our dynamic kitchen where quality and quantity work hand in hand then this will be the opportunity for you.  To be successful you must have a creative flair, exceptional time management skills and passion for classic dishes.

 

Split over 2 levels and able to entertain up to 500 people this open and modern new venue will serve up three square meals a day and offer customers some exciting twists on the concept of classic Australian pub grub. Your responsibilities include assisting the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef in the day to day operation of the kitchen as well as providing leadership, support and coaching to the team.
