With a strong project schedule for 2012, the opportunity for a Structural Design Engineer has now become available with an immediate start. The role will see you become an integral part of an elite team, whilst working on a complete range of major projects in the Transmission Line Design Group. 

You will manage a large number of design projects on transmission line structures and foundations and deliver complete design functions, provide technical advice to all clients and focus on meeting time and budget deadlines.

You will carry out detailed structural analysis and design of power transmission related structures, foundations and hardware for both new and existing infrastructure and investigate new materials and applications.

To be successful for this role the following attributes are needed.

• Degree in Civil Engineering with a strong focus on structural and foundation design principles.
• Experience in calculations, design of structures for high voltage transmission lines, electrical distribution/telecommunications tower structures or steel.
• Strong understanding of maintenance practices for structure loading, safety and ergonomics, maintenance fittings,  
• Knowledge of Microstran and PLS_Cadd Suite of software.

Due to the nature of this position the role requires an experienced candidate, however Civil Engineering graduate level applications with a high voltage transmission design focus will also be considered.
