Our client is a market leader in the software industry, with a global history spanning 20 plus years.
As part of their growth strategy, they will be appointing a Technical Account Manager to join one of their most successful verticals.
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) possesses a strong technical background in Engineering, Mining, Construction or Architecture and is very familiar with CAD related solutions and tools.
Working with the Strategic Account Manager on major accounts, the TAM owns the technical account strategy, and acts as an evangelist for the organisation.
Together with the Sales Executives, the TAM contributes to the sales process through their deep technical understanding and articulation of the solutions, as well as through their understanding of the sales process, and often becomes a Trusted Advisor to the customers.
The TAM will develop a deep understanding of technical product lines and relevant customisations, and will also work with Sales Channels.
We are looking for individuals with strong communications skills, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to cross-sell into existing customers.
Your ideal background will be technical, although, in more recent years, you would have moved into a similar technical account management or pre-sales kind of role.
Technical expertise in Engineering, Mining, Construction or Architecture is a MUST as well as hands-on knowledge of related CAD solutions.
