Make your mark in a leading ASX listed company

As you’d expect from a leading ASX-listed company, we offer our people career mobility, ongoing development, good benefits and interesting work. But Caltex offers more than you’d expect... Our career opportunities are just as diverse as our business. We share a sense of pride in our contributions to Australian life, and we enjoy a culture that is always professional but never conventional, frequently challenging but also rewarding. Together we play an essential role in keeping Australia moving.

Our corporate functions are highly valued, visible and essential to our overall operations. In this role, you’ll have the autonomy to design strategies, make high-impact decisions and work in partnership with senior stakeholders across our expansive business.

A gregarious leader, you’ll be working with frontline issues as you respond to government and Occupational Hygiene and Health (OH&H) legislation. You’ll balance reactive and proactive measures as you develop, maintain, and advise on strategic management and compliance systems for OH&S/OH&H across the company. This role will see you honing your skills as you:

·         Develop, maintain and improve Occupational Health & Safety policies, systems and procedures

·         Assist business units and management to identify, assess and control significant EHS risk including audits and investigations

·         Prepare reports and papers for management and the board on key occupational hygiene and health issues.

·         Liaise with key stakeholders, such as regulators, management and employee representatives

·         Provide information on changes in OH&H legislation and support the business in their application

Come to us with a tertiary qualification in Science, Applied Science or Engineering, coupled with significant experience in occupational hygiene related roles in a production or manufacturing environment. You’ll also need to have experience providing detailed management advice on OH&S/OH&H issues. Equally important will be the conviction and tenacity to take the lead on matters of great importance, on a national stage.

Come and make your mark with us!
