Reporting to the Divisional Communications & Public Relations Secretary, this role involves promoting the Salavation Army's work to the wider community utilising traditional and new media and ensuring that fundraising goals are met.
Thsi position will be based at the Divsiional Head Quarters currently located at Parramatta (but will be relocating to Auburn from Feb'12).
Main Duties include:
* Maintain a strong mission focus in all aspects of the position and work environment. Develop relationships with clients and lead them to an understanding of TSA and it’s mission. Promote links between welfare services and the Corps and greater Christian community.
*In conjunction with the DC&PRS co-ordinate and lead the Divisional Business Appeal, including the development of appeal goals for Official Function and other businesses. Assist DC&PRS, Appeal Chairpersons in all activities relative to the business appeal including recruitment of Chairpersons, attendance and co-ordination of committee meetings, prepare correspondence and reports.
*Assist the DC&PRS in facilitation other fund raising opportunities and other Appeals for the Division. Maintain regular contact with TCPR Team and attend team and Divisional Committee meetings as required. Ensure the maintenance of the Supporter Relationship Management (SRM) system.
*Participates in team activities, attends staff meetings when scheduled and demonstrates a supportive approach to other staff members which contributes to the overall team effectiveness.
*To meet Occupational Health and Safety obligations in line with TSA Policy & Procedures & relevant legislation.
