Are you a proven Credit Manager who has exercised credit decisions in Commercial and Agribusiness lending?

A Leading Australian Bank is looking for a Credit Manager to further develop and exercise a Delegated Credit Authority for Commercial and Agribusiness lending in WA.

You'll also be working for a highly successful and focused Business Banking Team with a great culture. You will be a Credit expert mentoring and coaching staff and clients on all Credit submissions and policies.

In this exciting opportunity your everyday duties will be to manage all credit functions for WA Business, Commercial and Agribusiness banking. This will include approving and making decisions for the region's credit submissions, visiting clients with Commercial Bankers, mentoring staff members on credit policies/submissions, negotiating applications as well as demonstrating strong conflict skills as required.

You will be required to attend client visits from time to time as you will regularly coach and mentor the Commercial and Agribusiness Bankers. There may also be the possibility that you will assist other states with their credit submissions.

To be successful in this position it is essential that you :
  • have an understanding on the key regional industries/geographic areas and trends for WA,
  • can easily develop an effective network within the WA,
  • have demonstrated experience as a credit manager who has exercised a credit approval authority for a financial institution.
  • have proven experience in Agribusiness and Commercial banking with a thorough understanding of these two key areas of business.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are vital in this position, as you will be reporting directly to Senior Management and Stakeholders on Credit issues and Risk. You will be reporting on training gaps for staff in WA as well as other regions as required as well as providing guidance and support to all staff members.
