What you will be doing

Working in the Design & User-Experience team you will be required to organise and conduct a variety of research streams to inform the business and investigate/validate concepts and designs.  You will be involved from the beginning and be required to do research on projects with varying complexities and deadlines.
This is a collaborative role were you will work closely with User-Experience Specialists and stakeholders to create test plans to meet the needs of the project within its constraints.  You will also work on non development/design projects that will help to extend the businesses knowledge of user behaviour and preferences.
Ability to advise on the right research method for a project, conduct research projects including (but not limited to) user workshops, focus groups, remote testing, surveys and contextual investigations.
 
Ability to categorise trends from a large number of findings, so that the most important results are clearly communicated.  Report these findings in an easy to understand and actionable manner.
 
Feed project findings into our overall service map to help understand where it fits in with other projects and insights.  Maximize the insight validity with a varying project budget. Assess research from other parts of the company to understand its validity and usefulness to the team.  Brief external research agencies, when required, to ensure high quality research is carried out and then work with the rest of the team to promote good User-Centered Design practices across the company
  
What we are looking for
   
• Experience running a variety of user research projects.
• A strong working knowledge of user-centered design and researcher's role in it.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of different user groups.
• Strong communication skills to deliver the most valid and important findings.
• Strong organisational skills to ensure research is delivered on time.
• Tertiary Psychology, Market Research, Usability, Human Factors or related areas qualifications.
•  Portfolio of commercial work including examples (not student work) of different research methods 
• Good appreciation for a variety of sports.
